Kirk vs. Picard

Premise: These two Star Fleet captains represent a time of utter tonality and congruence.  Thus one must be placed in said mind set for proper realization of to be said comments.  Not in a galaxy far far away, no this galaxy the Milky-Way is ours.  The long debate of who is the best star ship captain will no longer continue.  This is because Gene Roddenberry is deceased and there will never be a true version of his vision again. Then this comment is directed at the debate on StarTrek.com.

Open Comment:
If you go with the times and that is the times these characters existed, the pointless debate of (D) Democrat vs. (R) Republican would be over.  Secondly, these two personalities complement each other. So there for it is logical to assume you have no concept of rational thought or behavior if you do not understand this concept.  Kirk is the bully with the cojones of Conan and the intellect of a hamster.  He is head-strong relying on his instincts instead of Star Fleet protocol. He stands on his laurels much further than Picard ever could. There is something to be said of the stubborn, never say nay  go getter, who loves tribbles just as much as the next human.
Then there is Picard, the arrogant soldier of truth and dedication.  Blustering with achievements and looking to amend for his former mistakes to better himself and his constituents; stiff and chiseled, but not without fault.  Picard did not like tribbles or children for that matter; nor could he stand for “tom foolery” in his presence...no…no. Yet the two of these fine captains would make the dynamic duo of terrormatic brilliance meets calculated courage.
Thus I say nay to both of these stellar Star Fleet captains and pronounce
....dhun...dhun...dhaaaaah...Captain Kathryn Janeway the unofficial winner. Janeway, “There are three things to remember about being a starship captain: Keep your shirt tucked in, go down with the ship, and never abandon a member of your crew.”  Enough said, well one more thing...live long and prosper!

I am, what am I to do...

There is nothing more moving and life changing than the truth.  The truth about yourself, the truth about your surroundings, the truth about the people you know; it is all relevant when you  know the truth.  The truth never comes to you when you wish, no, no only when you need.  The truth is never more than the world you live in and you need to know the truth.  The truth within, the truth without.  There is now another life I have yet to live.  The one filled with the truth of knowing the truth.  I must seduce you and slow my understanding of you, to realize the truth. The truth to me is the truth to who?  This realization is nothing more than the truth about how much I do not know the truth.  Through reasonable deduction, I have come to this truth-filled conclusion.  I have been living a lie and that is my truth.  I have been lying to myself and to you.  I know this to be true.  I am the only one that can tell you this is true.  You may think, "What if your lying to me now.",.  I would respond, "I am realizing the truth.".  The healing process will be long and painful, true.  I must reside in the truth.  The truth of changing myself into truth....Who will help me will the truth and keep it true?
