One can never really perceive the truth,
For the truth is in the eye of the beholder.
There can be a path, cut and dry,
Sitting, waiting for your time.
Yet they tell you not,
Of the foolish thought of debt.
When the clock struck three,
We flee to the grounds we see.
Not of oversight and committees,
No closing numbers, no losing philosophy.
A swift pat on the back and a shake of the finger,
Now don't you linger, you have to much to see.
Like I had no idea you were up to something,
Sure and smiling for all to see, elect me you shouted pronouncedly.
All the while the debt wheel churns,
The spending on luxuries and deserving tranquility.
So did you not see me,
The person, the meaning, the tree.
You did not set upon a sight for better,
No, no only greed and self propriety.
Now there is rampant debauchery and reluctant responsibility,
For the entire world to see, lazy, lazy humanity.
Not real, but living in an alternate reality,
Oh how you cannot see the simple bee.
That is let me be me,
Not this misleading ideal of society.
Easy money and manipulation is all you see,
Right through the very soul of my timely be me.
How callously you misinterpret me,
How I care not for your sigh of debiting me.
For this, for that, and oh I miss this one too,
The loot, like in a legal robbery, you are stealing true, true.
The very reason I am part of this American society is to be free,
Not to be inundated with chronological fees!
When will America let itself free,
From its own corporate tyranny.
To sell to other lands citizens,
Take not advantage of our own lands,
And see we all long to be in the world of less need.
Only then will you let yourself free.
So try it, try to let me be me.
Leave the ways of owing the key,
The stone, the tree...let possessions go,
And be free with me.
